subway knitters.
Last weekend Steve and I hopped on the subway to go see a movie. It was going to be a long trip so I threw my knitting project into my backpack. On the subway there was a mom with her twins. Her boys were unbelievably darling. I couldn't stop looking at them. They were being so funny and cute. When I pulled out my knitting one of the boys got so excited and pointed me out to his mom. I looked back down at my knitting and when I looked up next the mom had pulled out her knitting too! We were both smiling about it. It was a moment of bonding in a city where ignoring those around you is an art. Moments like these make me fall in love with New York...hard. People who craft on the subway are my people.
P.S. Did you ever see the guy who was embroidering on the subway on my instagram?
